“You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalms 139: 15,16 NLT

Everyone who has lived and will live, past, present, and future, will have a birthday, but God knew you before you were born.

Today, September 24, 2026, is Reverend Kevin’s birthday. He loves God and loves people. Every day of his life reflects his passion for feeding the hungry, helping people in the homeless community, and making people smile.

Kevin gives honor and gratitude to the Lord from where he came.

Kevin, who was a Baltimore City police officer, was severely injured in the line of duty in March of 2000. Kevin was working his beat and pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. By the time he had finished giving the citation, it was too late. A utility tractor-trailer approached him at a deadly speed, ran over him, and dragged his body several blocks.
Kevin was able to push the call button on his walkie and call for help.
Fire, police, and EMTs all rushed to his side. As it turned out, the driver of the tractor-trailer was arrested by Kevin on a previous drug charge, which sent him to prison. After being released from prison, this man stalked Kevin and purposefully hunted him down to kill him.

The rehabilitation department helped Kevin, but he had a long road to recovery. He was paralyzed from the waist down and restricted to a wheelchair for nine and a half (9 1/2) years.

Satan wanted to destroy him; this man wanted to get rid of him, but God knew Kevin’s story didn’t end there.

God totally healed Kevin of cancer and multiple daily seizures. He no longer needs a wheelchair, a walker, or a cane. He regularly drives not only a car but also a box truck he rents once or twice a week to pick up food deliveries.

Kevin is a prayer warrior. Ask anyone who has heard him. His supplications are powerful and sincere. Kevin will pray with anyone and in any place.

God is not only our Healer, He is our Provider and Protector. One of the many amazing things He does with us is to restore relationships. That man who tried to kill Kevin? Once Kevin was able to, he wheeled into the man’s prison where the man was serving time. Kevin told him that because God forgave him, Kevin also forgave this man of trying to kill him. At first, the man thought Kevin was crazy, but several times a week, Kevin visited him, prayed with him and they began to share Bible devotions together. Today, they are great friends and whenever they end a phone call, I’ll hear Kevin say, “I love you!”

That’s nothing but God.

God knows your story, too. I hope you invite Him in and have sweet fellowship together.
