Praise the Lord.

“Praise God in His sanctuary;

Praise Him in His mighty heavens.
Praise Him for His acts of power;
Praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet,
Praise Him with the harp and lyre,
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing,
Praise Him with the strings and pipe,
Praise Him with the clash of cymbals,
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.” Psalm 150: 1-6 NIV

God is so good! We know this, but it’s a wonderful thing to share our testimonies and help encourage others. I’d like to start this praise blog by sharing a couple of incidents with you: First thing was this morning. I drove to my local senior center where I volunteer at the travel office. I went to get my keys for something, but I couldn’t find them. (I’m sure that has never happened to anyone else.) I immediately started to pray, Father, You know where my keys are and I…” Before the question escaped my lips, God turned me to face the wall where I had hung up my sweater and keys.” Hallelujah! God is amazing.

“I will answer them before they call for help.
I will help them before they finish asking.” Isaiah 65:24 (ERV)

The second praise is more detailed. My husband Kevin called me on his way to work. His gas tank was nearing empty and he was stuck in a back-up of traffic, with no exit to a gas station in sight. He called to tell me of his situation and then asked me to pray. Apparently, he was close to Martin State Airport and saw that a plane had crashed. He even saw a wing of the plane was lying in the middle of the road. “Let’s pray, Kevin,” I offered, asking the Lord to protect those involved in the plane crash and then went on to pray that Kevin would arrive safely and be able to get fuel for his vehicle. Within moments, Kevin said, ” I see people walking out of the plane!” He then added, “We are moving!” Again, nothing is too great or small for our God!

A dear friend of mine shared a beautiful praise testimony with me over the phone. I asked her if I could post this on the Praise blog. Be blessed and know if God did it for her, He can do it for you.

“Two years ago I needed a hip replacement. I was told my insurance wouldn’t approve it. I changed insurances. My doctor said “no” to the surgery until I lost weight. I went to physical therapy, but it hurt really bad. I came home one day and cried out to God, ‘Lord, please give me help or take me. I can’t take the pain anymore.’ I felt hopeless. I couldn’t even bend down to put on my shoes. Two weeks later, I got approved for surgery. Then I met a guy. I had been alone for quite some time. My life changed over the next three months. I was able to walk with a cane and I began a lovely relationship with a great guy. I give ALL the praise to the Lord. I was ready to give up, but He had other plans.”
