A New Creation

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] the old has gone, the new is here” 2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV.

When a person takes the step by faith to confess their sins and ask God to forgive them, they begin an incredible journey that will transform them into the son or daughter that the Father made them in the beginning.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body;
All the days ordained for me were written in Your book
Before one of them came to be” Psalm 139:16 NIV

“This is a beautiful reminder of surrender and trust, drawing from the powerful biblical metaphor of the Potter and the clay.

In the Bible, this imagery (found famously in Isaiah 64:8 and Jeremiah 18) represents God’s sovereignty and His desire to lovingly mold, shape, and refine our lives. As the clay, when we submit to the Master’s hands, we allow Him to make us into a vessel of honor, even if the shaping process involves some heat and pressure along the way.” 1
