Seasons Part 1

“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

Autumn. It’s my favorite season. Some of the highlights of this period are the cooler weather; shorter days; school is back in session for a new year; and the highlight? The splash of red, yellow, green and brown leaves creating a picturesque foliage of color.

In our daily lives, we too move and grow through various times. As a new Christian we are referred to ‘babies in Christ’. “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” 1 Peter 2: 1, 2 (NIV).

Daily Bible devotions and prayer help us in our spiritual growth. Thanking God for our blessings, asking for forgiveness when we sin or do something that displeases God and helping and loving others also keep us moving forward in our walk with Jesus. He wants an intimate relationship with us.
