The movie “Sister Act”, a musical released on May 29, 1992, follows a nightclub singer (Whoopi Goldberg) who witnesses a murder and is placed in a witness protection program. Where is she placed? Where she will never be discovered, in a convent. I highly recommend the movie. It has comic relief woven into the web of intrigue. The soundtrack is amazing, especially the nightclub and the church scenes. She begins working with the choir as director. One of the songs the choir performs is a rendition of “My Girl” sung by the Temptations, with some of the words changed to give praise to God.

The amazing truth behind the music, mystery, and mayhem is that this woman (Delores), who wasn’t a believer before she was forced into this environment, soon learned the ways of God, and she became a true believer.
“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” Matthew 19:26 NIV.
Jesus was explaining the details of the rich man who sadly walked away after Jesus told him to sell all he had, give to the poor, and follow him (Matthew 19: 16-26 NIV).
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV. This story shows the incredible transformation of a life before and after meeting Jesus Christ and accepting Him into their life.
