“On a good day, enjoy yourself; On a bad day, examine your conscience. God arranges for both kinds of days so that we won’t take anything for granted.” Ecclesiastes 7:14 (MSG)

There is a song titled “God on the Mountain”. 1
“For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley
When things go wrong, He’ll make them right
And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times
The God of the day is still God in the night.”

During Jesus’ last hours with the disciples, He shares with them that He is the Vine, and they are the branches. As believers, we too need to remain or abide in Him.
“I am the true Vine, and My Father is the Gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the Word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me” John 15: 1-4 (NIV).

In both good and bad times, we need to be totally dependent on God. He blesses us with gifts: family, health, and life, just to name a few.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” James 1:17 (NIV).
Jesus also told us in His word that we will have tribulations, but to take heart in Him, for He has overcome the world. John 16:33 (KJV).
In good and bad times, God is with us. He promises never to leave or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
