Everything Changes

“For I am the Lord—I do not change. That is why you are not already utterly destroyed, for My mercy endures forever.” Malachi 3:6 The Living Bible (TLB)

Changes are both positive and negative. Each day, we change our clothes, and vehicles need periodic oil changes. Babies need diaper changes throughout the day. There are changes in our living conditions; we may move to a new residence. There are devastating changes as well: news of a loved one’s passing, a loss of employment, or news of a sickness or malady.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 KJV

Tuesday, March 24, 2026, turned out to be our last food distribution day at our pantry for five (5) years. The mood was bittersweet. We’ve been wanting to move to a newer building, but have been hindered by red tape and building code enforcers. We received the news that our lease at 155 Orville Road would not be renewed. Thankfully, Reverend Kevin had been looking for a temporary spot to continue our pantry ministry. He found a gentleman who would offer him a month-to-month rent option. The building is in the Overlea area, near Belair Road and White Avenue. Watch Love Thy Neighbor’s Facebook page, as that is where Kevin will post the dates and times of our reopening at our temporary location.

Santa Kevin continues his woods ministry and even managed to bring extra meat to our neighbors in Dundalk.

May I also include that some changes are good: a vacation, a wedding, and the birth of a baby. In each event and change, good or bad, we have a Friend who is closer than a brother…Jesus!
