New Year, New Plans

The holidays were amazing! We celebrated the birthday of our Lord and then, a week later, the beginning of a new year. For many of us, 2024 was a difficult and challenging year: family and friends continued to deal with sicknesses, financial loss, losing their jobs, and the brokenness of grief of losing a loved one. Come on 2025! We are ready for better days!
“But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 NIV
Winter came crashing in with various amounts of snow accumulation. Snow, sleet, and freezing rain were all in the forecast. Many individuals fell on the ice, including my husband Kevin, who cracked several ribs.
Does God care? Does He know what happens in our lives? Yes, to both questions. It is comforting to know that God, our Creator, Father, Lord, and Savior knows exactly what each of us experiences daily. In fact, He knows all about us. He knows our past, present, and future events since He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)
Will this year of 2025 be challenging? Oh yes. Will we have heartbreak? Yes. Will we see sunny days and have blessings? Absolutely! In every day, good or challenging, God is with us. He sometimes delivers us; He also redeems, restores, and gives us His rest (Matthew 11:28).
Remember during your most difficult times, God is carrying you. That is why there is only one set of footprints.
