A Burst of Sunlight

I believe it’s safe to say that we have all been in dark places in our lives. It may be a literal place of blackness, but more often than not, it is a time with shadows that confuse us as to which direction to take. “And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.” Isaiah 42:16 (KJV).
“But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.” Psalm 22:19 (KJV) It is in these seasons of desperation that we can cry out to the Lord.
“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24 (KJV).

God uses us to be His hands and feet. He doesn’t need us to accomplish His will but invites us to participate in His rescue plan. As we join Him and obey Him, we also receive a blessing by offering our time and resources to help someone else.
I’ve been working with a health insurance company and a doctor’s office to see why a particular bill (almost 1-year-old) wasn’t paid. We went around in circles trying to solve the challenge since I didn’t have the means to pay the bill. (Isn’t that what insurance is supposed to do?) Finally, after several months, I learned that the entire bill was covered. Wow! I had actually spoken to someone from the insurance company and they told me a portion was paid, another was discounted, and I had a minimal amount due as my copay. After my call about another matter today, I was told that the previous bill was covered! Isn’t God good! Remember, no matter what is weighing heavy on your heart and mind, God has your back. Call out to Him. Help is on the way.
