God does not keep time as we do. He always existed and has no end. Jesus said in Revelation 22:13 (KJV) “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

Our Distractions vs His Peace

Let’s face it. A large majority of our lives will have many distractions. Yes, there are good ones: church, family, job, finances, transportation, to name a few; but if these get out of balance, it will harm our very attempts of doing something good, or take away from one of the other areas all crying out for our attention.

When was the last time you stopped long enough to look at the beautiful things of the world God has created: The texture and color of a leaf, the brilliance of a sunrise, the majestic power of waves in an ocean? God has created everything for our good.

Many times when I am distracted or anxious God will send me “a hug from Heaven” as I like to say. Mine is a white butterfly. Immediately, upon seeing it, I pause and say “Thank you, Lord.” It brings joy to my heart and a smile to my face.

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’” Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

Other ways to experience God’s peace is to spend time with Him in prayer and by reading the Bible and having a quiet time with Him.

God will NEVER let us down. He goes with us through our troubles and yes, even carries us during extremely difficult ones.
