Lift Up Your Head

Lift Up Your Head

“Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! Many are they that rise up against me.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill. Selah.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.”

Psalm 3:1-5 KJV

How have the first few weeks of the new year been to you? Maybe things came to a close at the end of 2023 and 2024 has started with numerous good benefits. Perhaps the challenges from the previous year have carried over to this one. How can we confront the future while we are feeling stuck? Life has a way of sending a flood of mixed circumstances, some good and some challenging. As believers, we know to Whom we place our trust.

Jesus knew we would need help in life. He said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 KJV.

We just recently celebrated His birthday. Immanuel, God is with us. That means He is only a breath away. Spend time alone with God. He cares about you. He loves you. You were worth dying for.

Will every day be sunny and full of delight? No. Some days there will be rain and snow showers. Remember God has seen the future and He holds each of us in the palm of His hand. Trust the Lord! He’s got you.
