I know Christmas is still a couple of months away, but anyone who knows Kevin has seen him playing his alter ego Santa any time of the year. It amazes me to observe how most people react to seeing him other times than just at Christmas.

Whenever we go out and grab a bite to eat, kids of all ages will shriek with delight, “Hi Santa!” Recently, many times I have asked if they would like a selfie with Santa. Many reply with an excited, “Yes!”

There have been a few individuals who have made the comment, “Aren’t you early this year Santa?”

Then there are the special circumstances when someone was having a rough day or was going through a particularly hard time, and then seeing Santa Kevin, breaks out with a tearful response, “Thank you so much. I was having a bad day, but you just made me smile.”

When we got back inside our vehicle (yes, we left the reindeer back at the North Pole), Kevin shared his reason for dressing up as Santa all year round.

“I enjoy all the fun and happy reactions, but when I realize that I made someone smile who was having a bad day–that’s the main reason why.”
