As believers in Jesus Christ, we are now God’s children. Jesus paid the ultimate price to break the chains of sin and death for all who would trust in Him and repent of our sins. To repent means to acknowledge we are all born with a sinful nature because of the sin of disobedience in the book of Genesis after creation. Repentance also means to ask for forgiveness, to confess that Jesus is Lord, and to ask Him to come and live in our hearts. What follows is a daily walk with Jesus as the Holy Spirit lives in our hearts and leads, guides, and directs our steps. Life as a Christian isn’t always easy, but it is rewarding just to love God and to serve Him by loving and serving others.
